Membership Committee

The Chamber's most active committee meets the first Wednesday of each month. Members of this committee work to strengthen the membership of our Chamber. They assist by encouraging others to join the Chamber, thereby improving the diversity of our group. In addition, the committee focuses on developing and enhancing membership services.

As an Ambassador of the Chamber, you have a unique opportunity to contact new and existing businesses in the Wilmington area. This committee also develops new and creative value-added programs for our members, and is responsible for maintaining our web site. We're always looking for new committee members, so why not get involved! Contact us for more information.

Events Committee

Do you like to plan events, use your creativity and take pride in presenting a successful event? If so, then the Events Committee is right for you! This committee provides support for Chamber events and works to assure event quality and attendance. Each year, this committee proposes an annual event to the Board where members can promote their business, either through sponsorship or active participation. Whether it's a golf tournament, business expo or other exciting event, you'll enjoy working on these activities! Contact us for more information on becoming a committee member.

School-to-Career Program

Help grow your future workforce and enhance your primary employee pool! This committee involves students in the business sector though its mentorship program, and initiates collaborative efforts to support the Wilmington School District. For more information, contact Mike Nee at the Wilmington High School.

Speakers Bureau/Mentor Program

If you have a topic or issue that you feel would benefit our members, if you're interested in presenting to other local service groups, or you would like to add your expertise to our groaing list of mentors for fellow members, please contact us to learn more about how you can participate in or set up Chamber meetings.

Human Resources Roundtable

This committee discusses topics directly relevant to the employment process. Our Roundtable is open to representatives from any member company who have decision-making responsibilities in the HR sector. Meetings are held at various company locations on the third Tuesday of each month from 8:30 - 10:00 AM. Contact us for more information on becoming a committee member.

On Your Own Business Roundtable

This Roundtable is catered specifically to one-person businesses. Whether operating out of your office or off site, our members can share insights and expertise, successes and frustrations, and listen and learn. We're currently putting together our first On Your Own meeting; if you're interested in participating, please contact us for more information.
